2020 forever changed my life.
I was working at Cherry Blow Bar in Glen Mills, Philadelphia, PA as an assistant manager. The pandemic caused all the Cherry Blow locations to close except the Cherry Hill location. I was asked to relocate, I politely declined. I wanted to own my own beauty company, Covid-19 taught me that there is no time like the present.
I created a Facebook Market ads for mobile hair services. My first client was a mother who worked remotely and home-schooled five children. From this one ad my clientele was growing by the day. Even with everything going on people still wanted to feel good about themselves.
A fellow hairstylist who had been doing hair from her home posted their frustration with never having enough hair products on hand. I created an ad on Facebook for local hair supply delivery, delivered the requested products and this was the beginning of Hair Pin.
